Heart of My Own...

Ok, so not only did I get to see one of my favorite, favorite singers/musicians last night, Basia BulatI also got to meet her (hug her, tell her she's so amazing, tell her I cried during the concert..haha).

Basia is seriously the coolest! Super friendly and humble, and talked to everyone like she's known us for years.  She played solo, completely owning every instrument she played; if you just heard it you would never know she was without a band.  SO impressive.
Basia, come back to Brooklyn soon!!!

I love Basia's music so much, my husband and I actually danced our first dance to one of her songs at our wedding.  Choreographed by the amazingly talented Jessica Chen

It's not a professional video or anything, but you get the idea.
(Thank you Brae for taking the video!)

Maybe this belongs in MOMA..?

Canary yellow hair-on-hide fold wallet...
We can't decide how we feel about it, (we kind of love it..?)

 What do you think,
Does it belong in the Museum of Modern Art next to
Meret Oppenheim's fur covered tea cup, or in our shop??

About Me

My photo
All of my items are hand crafted by me in my Brooklyn, NY studio. I believe in USA hand made, supporting local, and supporting quality. All materials I use are sourced and purchased from vendors in the USA. I truly am inspired so much by nature. Just walk outside and there's millions of things to be inspired by, whether city or country. At different points in my life, or year, or day I can look at the same thing and see it in a completely new way. I realize Im not the first person to be inspired by nature, but I find it amazing how we can all be inspired so uniquely by it. I am a pretty practical person; I feel designs should have form AND function. I USE all of my designs to ensure ease of use, aesthetic appeal, and versatility. If at the end of the day I don't love it, it goes back to the drawing board; or on the back burner; or just tossed on the 'prototype' pile. I also make sure all my designs are items I personally would love to give as gifts.
